This post includes further information about the Gameplay on Alla Morte, broken down by community and subject. If any other questions arise about the way things are played here, then please don't hesitate to ask the mods and it will be added either here or the FAQ's page.

Whenever there is an update here, there will be an announcement by one of the mods.


Journaling: Each character will be required to maintain a personal journal in blog form chronicling their experiences on the island. They will be recordrd on their Orologio phone, which is the watch phone that will not come off once they put it on. These posts can be made in either Text form as if the character is simply writing a journal, Video posts, where the character can be said to use the webcam and microphone in their laptop to make an entry or Voice posts where the character and simply use the microphone. The default form entry will be text and any other type of entry will need to have some sort of signifier on it to state if it is Video or Voice in the subject line. And every subsequent reply will need to state which format is being used.


Logging: Logs will take place in the alla_morte_log community. They can either be short, first person action tags or longer third person tags. This is where the majority of action on Vanishing Point will take place. All logs are to follow the following coding format. Simply copy and past the code in the text box and then put the first tag in between the LJ-cut.

Characters: A list of characters involved in the logs will go here along with their journal names.
When: When the log is taking place. It could be a time of day, after or before a certain journal post or during, before or after an event.
Where: The location on the island where the log is taking place.
Style: Which style the log will be in, first or second.
Open or Closed: Whether the log is open for anyone on the rp to join or whether it's closed to the people listed in the characters section.
Rating/Warnings: What rating the content inside the post will be and if there are any warnings necessary. Keep in mind that content rated R through NC-17 needs to be locked to members and that only players and characters aged 18 and over are allowed to participate in logs rated NC-17 on the community.

NPCs: In the future, as need arises, there may be a need for more NPC characters. If that time comes they will likely be played by the moderators. In the event that they aren't, the mods will ask certain players to play them and the people that are will not be revealed, similar to the moderators.

Events: All events are optional unless stated otherwise. There will be a few events where participation is mandatory but you have a few ways to go about it, and then there will be some events that effect the island as a whole and not just the characters that are inhabiting it where participation will be a given.
